DAMNHelper is the script that will enable you to connect to DAMN. Run the script and you will be able to either join an *existing instance* of DAMN OR create a *new instance* and let your friends join in. Please ensure you read the following before you try to run the script.

Release Date: 22nd April, 2012
Developers:   brijeshpateln@gmail.com, naman.g.muley@gmail.com
Website:      (http://sourceforge.net/projects/damndaiict/?source=directory)

->Dependencies:

1. OLSRd (0.5.6)
2. NIC supports IEEE 802.11 b/g/n
3. Script uses Windows Network Configuration Tools (netsh)

-> Please ensure that:
1. Your Wifi is ON.
2. You have OLSR installed. If not, download it from either the DAMN page at Sourceforge or (http://www.olsr.org)
3. Proper drivers are installed.

->The Setup essentially does the following:

1. Installs DAMNHelper (script).

->The Script essentially does the following:

1. Checks for Wireless Interface.
2. If DAMN profile does not exist, it makes a new one. If already exists, it loads it.
3. Sets IP address as 10.x.x.x as the last three bytes of your MAC address.
4. Runs OLSR.

-> The script reconfigures your card back to Automatic DHCP when you close the application.
-> If you are *creating* DAMN (i.e. NOT connecting to an existing network that your computer detects), your network status will show "Waiting for New Users". After another user connects to DAMN, it will show connected.
