About the Pipeline WS project
The goal of the Pipeline WS project is to develop a web service layer to drive the execution of DAISY Pipeline jobs. Such a web service would be particularly interesting for organizations that want to provide an online Pipeline service, or whose home environment is not directly compatible with the regular Pipeline Java API (e.g. in a MS .Net environment).
This prototype project was developed in January 2009 in collaboration with DAISY Member Vision Australia (Melbourne).

About the Pipeline
The DAISY Pipeline is a cross-platform, open source framework for DTB-related document transformations. It provides a comprehensive solution for converting text documents into accessible formats for people with print disabilities. The DAISY Pipeline project is fundamentally a collaborative multi-organization project, created by and for the DAISY community. It has been launched in 2005 and is maintained by the DAISY Consortium.
