Good news and bad news; following the uninterest seen in the ISOs Awesome and LeftWM I will be ending their release (at least for a while). The latest ISOs will remain available - these are the bad news.

Following a tip and the work of mtfbella109 I will be releasing a new ISO with Cosmic desktop environment.

It is very frugal as usual.

The newest d77-welcome app has already the ability to install Cosmic repo.

Cosmic repo moved after I have created the ISO and so, if you want to have it working edit /etc/xbps.d/cosmic.conf with new target site: https://bellawagner.de/repo/x86_64

To have sound you will need to configure wireplumber; follow Void handbook to have it working as per user.

Next ISO in a few days will have these problems solved.

New Niri iso, finally with all problems solved;

It is no longer needed to run niri_1st because all the tweaks and looks are corrected since 1st run.

New release Wayfire; probably the best WM (almost a DE) for those who want an eye candy, modern Wayland WM.

Multiple configurations and animations easily configurable from wcm application and a decent tab/menu courtesy of Wayfire shell make it the perfect option for someone coming from Windows, MacOS or a full DE in Linux/BSD maintaining a light resource OS.

XFCE is now available! The configuration is pretty straight, minimal and complete in Xorg, but in Wayland has some errors, as expected because XFCE team is still implementing Wayland session.

As WM in Wayland I had to install labwc but it is a very mininmal config, like Openbox for LXQt.

In SDDM you should swap the default session to XFCE (Xorg) to see the real intended configuration.

d77void repository is now available;

To use it simply add a file like d77.conf to /etc/xbps.d/ with:

repository=https//sourceforge.net/projects/d77void/files/d77void-repo

That way you should be able to install the repository apps.

Better-control is now available in a few ISOs as control panel. It is available to install in the repository as well.

d77-welcome app has now the ability to install d77void repository.

With today releases of niri, LXQt and labwc all ISOs have now bash-it framework applied.

You can use this framework like ohmyzsh to have a more pleasant bash shell, aliases and plugins; your imagination and talent is the limit.

The newest labwc is shipped only with waybar instead of waybar and sfwbar; sfwbar is still configured, but not available.

The newest LXQt has major updates; Void updated LXQt version is now reflected in todays iso.

New i3wm iso available; now with polybar instead of i3status (i3status is still configured though).

New Hyprland iso available with Hyprland 0.48 and a few new things.

New waybar layout and corrected qt/gtk theming.

Alerted for the inconsistency of theming (gtk/qt), something I never bothered before to correct and after some tips and tricks (thank you Ruben) I have managed to do it.

Those long years just using dwm made me an ignorant in aesthetic.

After request I decided to provide one desktop environment; the chosen was LXQt.

It is customised with d77 theming and only with necessary to work apps, as usual with the several window manager editions.

New WM in core launch; Niri. Do not forget to run niri_1st to see a dark theme and Papirus-Icons instead of Adwaita.

It has 90% of the problems the experimental iso had solved.

New Hyprland ISO;

From now on:

• Calamares can be run from Rofi or directly from the terminal just typing calamares;

• Abiword and Gnumeric will not be installed by default;

• Brave replaces Firefox as default browser;

• New script d77-welcome with many functionalities like installing Flatpak, Steam, office suite or minimal office and most of all, removing the Calamares after install and adding Hyprland repo.

Of course this script is optional, but the options pre-configured represent a gain in ease of use and install.

New ISO of Openbox with an experimental Grub theme; it is highly inspired in TileOS grub theme with some modifications.

Released 2 new dirs; d77void-srcpkgs, with templates to build some pkgs and d77void-experimental.

In d77void-experimental you will find some new flavors I am testing; probably will be released with less frequency than the maintained flavors.

First ISOs released with Calamares and d77void-installer;

You can now use the versatile TUI d77void-installer (based on void-installer) or calamares, the easy installer.

To use calamares, please don't just click the button; it won't work. You need to be root, so open a terminal and type

New Flavor Qtile! This WM is a hybrid X11/Wayland; I consider it very fast in X, not that much on Wayland.

Still many work to be done, but already in a good usable form.
