This project contains a remastered xubuntu linux. All unwanted packages were removed e.g. language packs (only english version was left), a few exotic (from european point of view) fonts, help files. Also a few nice utilities were added - sound tools: lame, sox, festival, lmms, graphic tools: Inkscape, MyPaint, some other tools: partimage, searchmonkey. As a media player acts gnome-mplayer - lightweighted and able to recognize a lot of A/V formats.
The whole system is based on xubuntu 12.04 (brand new version, downloaded on March 23, 2012). There is no graphical web browser - too many new versions every month - instead terminal based elinks is available so suit yourself (http://firefox.com). There is no office suite as well - OpenOffice or LibreOffice LSB version works well (http://portablelinuxapps.org). Exactly the same with programming IDEs - if you need any just use Bluefish, or Komodo Edit, or Eclipse.
ISO image is quite a big one - 800MB+ - project aimed to provide an image suitable for 4GB pendrives with a near 3GB persistent file.
