Missed packages (It is not a must - I just need them to run some LSB applications): - libjpeg62 - libebook-1.2-12 - libgnomeui-0 Default desktop is set to HOME directory. If you want to change it, open file ~/.config/user-dirs.dirs and edit value set for XDG_DESKTOP_DIR variable. For example: if you want to keep all your desktop files in a Desktop directory, set mentioned variable to this value: XDG_DESKTOP_DIR="$HOME/Desktop" Still no clue why regular user cannot use webcam, even when belongs group video to. Every apps using laptop built-in video has to be started with gksu.
