  • Thank you very much for the program!
  • 80% for first impression. Calculation is fine, call from Windows Explorer context also. The only flaw seems to be the rigidity of the output window a.k.a. inability to resize the column containing the hash result. Some hashes are too long to fit. Apart from column resize, a line-wrapping would also resolve this. As it is one has to Copy Hash/Export Hash and do the comparison with the source's hash in another environment. P.S. That said, I realize that the probability to find a pair of 'legitimate' and 'tampered with' files, for whom 45 first hex-digits of 64-digit hash would be the same, is minimal.
  • The application is helpful, thank you.
  • Very useful, easy to use

  • Works perfectly. You don't even need a readme.txt. I just downloaded it at 2:36PM and it's just now 2:39 and I managed to use download, install, find and use CyoHash to check the MD5sum of a Linux Mint distro, register on Sourceforge and come back to write this review! One of the fastest executables I have downloaded in a while.

  • Not that impressed. In fact bummed because after "much adoo" and my AV program said "do not install" ?! I trust sourceforge.net so decided to download and install. BUT... no readme.txt file which would have been nice. CyoHash is only available by way of WinExplorer "when you highlight a particluar file". So take note of this...Right click on file and it will be listed. So to start I will give this a 1/10 rating. I will come back after I have some experience using it. Experience level in using this type of software or md5sum...Beginner using tutorials OK! I did install and ran a few hash checks and this does work well and is fairly easy to use for the beginner. REMEMBER to use Windows Explorer ( not IE !! ) and it should be listed on the drop down when a file is right-clicked on. I will now have to upgrade my initial eval to 6/10 stars AND will try to update this eval when I download bit torrents (which are notoriusly bad) and other programs which takes hours rather than minutes to dwnld...lots of bits and bytes! Thank you to the author and thanks to sourcefoge, net !!
  • great for non-GNU or non-UNIX users to verify file integrity after a download. Great job!
