The gnome-applets package provides small utilities for the GNOME panel. The gnome-applets-extra package contains some small utilities depending on extra libraries (libgtop and libghttp) REQUIRES: gdk imlib gnome-libs gnome-core gnome-applets libgtop libghttp ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- gnome-applets is split into 4 binary package: gnome-applets, gnome-applets-extra, gnome-applets-docs and gnome-applets-i18n Package gnome-applets-docs contains the online help files for applets (/opt/gnome/share/gnome/help/*_applets). Package gnome-applets-i18n contains message translations (*.mo files) and online help files in other languages (mainly in it and ja). Package gnome-applets-extra contains applets that depends on some extra librararies (libghttp and libgtop currently), including cpumemusage_applet, diskusage_applet, multiload_applet, slash_applet and gweather. Corresponding docs and locale data are also packed in. You need package libgtop and libghttp to use these applets.
