Cutting Edge Linux is a Manjaro based Remix that utilizes XFCE and Kwin as the window manager increasing the functionality of XFCE. It uses Cairo-Dock as the docker and supports a wide range of programs upon initial install.
The Display Manager is Slim.
The 64 bit version uses about 300 megabytes of ram on bootup.
The 32 bit version uses about 215 megabytes of ram on bootup.
Cutting Edge Linux comes with Clementine as the music player. VLC as the media player. Steam for gaming. Gimp, Evince and Viewnior for image/pdf support. Firefox as the default browser. KVIRC for the IRC client. Linphone for voice communication. Freemind for mind mapping projects. Libreoffice writer and leafpad for text editing. Virtual Box for VM usage. Geany for a development IDE.
There may be some minor bugs with the configs still but nothing major. This is a work in progress still.
Custom Scripts will be added at a later time to modify Eye-Candy in a simple manner.
The XFCE + Kwin desktop is really a thing to at least test and i am enjoying it a lot. The Kwin setups at the menu are great - better than when you do it inside a Manjaro - So good I would like a Studio - Musix - bundle, with the RT kernel a 720p default installation and a 720p conky for multimedia edition or even a second respin "cutting edge musix"
