cups filter to convert text to PostScript or PDF

This filter, texttops (texttopdf a symbolic link to texttops), works (nearly) the same way as the usual filters like texttops, texttopdf cgtexttopdf etc. but offers some additional features:

  • The keyword highlighting can easily extended for additional programming of scripting languages, e.g. pascal, python and others.

  • The UTF-8 code range can be extended to other scripts by modifying the FreeMono fonts using a suitable font editor, e.g. FontForge. Moreover, the font set can be exchanged easily.

  • The filter accepts encodings other than UTF-8, either by an algorithmic guess (based on Latin1 or MacRoman) or by job attribute.
