RMIR.v3.1.1-bin.zip is a full installation package for RMIR v3.1.1. This is the first release since v3.0.15. The main change in RMIR v3.1 is the use of JCommander to parse command line arguments. This has required splitting GUI creation from RemoteMaster.java into a new file RMIRSetup.java. It provides a command-line help facility with arguments -help or -? and enables scaling to be set within RMIR with a "-scaling" argument rather than the previous ugly way of using a Java property. It adds two new menu items, (a) "File > Summary > Create RDF Info File" which creates a CSV file of extracts from all RDFs for use in creating a Wiki entry, and (b) "Options > Advanced > Suppress NEC default subdevices", selected by default, which suppresses SubDevice values for protocols whose name starts NEC when they are the complement of the Device code. It also fixes a number of bugs which will not be itemized here.

This release is installed simply by unzipping this package into an empty folder. Please note that for an installation to work correctly, this folder must not be read-only. For a Windows OS this means, in particular, that it should not be unzipped into a subfolder of the Program Files folder.

As in previous releases, protocols.ini includes no-repeat versions of certain protocols, primarily intended for use by Slingbox files. Due to the specialized nature of these versions, by default they are not loaded when RMDU or RMIR is opened. If you need these protocols, check the item "Show Slingbox protocols" in the Options menu of either RMDU or RMIR. These protocols will then be loaded in all subsequent invocations of RMDU and RMIR until this item is specifically unchecked.
