Build 6 of RMIR v2.11 is now officially released. This is the first official release since build 1, as builds 2 through 5 were for development purposes. The main changes since build 1 are enhancements to the import and export of device upgrades as Girr and IRScope ict files, including the update of IrpTransmogrifier from v1.2.7 to the current snapshot of v1.2.8. There is a new option on the Learned Signals tab to change the frequency tolerance in signal decoding, or to turn off frequency checking completely. There is an improved algorithm for the matching of device parameter names when changing the protocol of a device upgrade. There are also minor amendments to protocols.ini and the addition of RDF, map and image files for two remotes. Build 6 is only available as a complete installation package. The issue of official releases as upgrade packages ceased with v2.10. To create a new installation of build 6, download the package RemoteMaster.v2.11build6.zip and unzip it to an empty folder that is not read-only. For a Windows OS this means, in particular, that it should not be unzipped into a subfolder of the Program Files folder. To upgrade an existing installation of RMIR to build 6, delete everything in its installation folder except the RemoteMaster.properties file and the AddOns subfolder (if present), then unzip the complete package into this installation folder. You may be asked whether to replace one ReadMe file. Say Yes, though the file should be unchanged so it should not matter which answer you give. Please note that if you copy the RemoteMaster.properties file from an old installation to a new one, in order to keep both installations and preserve your settings, then the new installation will use the RDF files of the old installation, which is not recommended and may cause errors.
