Build 9 of RMIR v2.10 is now officially released. This is the first official release since build 7, as build 8 was for development purposes. The main change since build 7 is the use of the analysis and documentation features of IrpTransmogrifier to provide additional information about learned signals. The Learned Signals tab now has a new panel that displays, for the selected signal, its IRP structure derived in two different ways. The first way is by analysis of the signal that is independent of any attempt at decoding, the second way is derived from the signal decode. There is also an "Open documentation" button to display documentation about the protocol of the selected signal. The included version of IrpTransmogrifier has also been updated to v1.2.6. Build 9 also includes updates to supporting files. The Linux versions of jp12serial v0.24 have been recompiled to provide compatibility with older Linux implementations. The RDFs of URC6440, OARUSB04G and related remotes have been updated to enable backlight settings to be read and changed with RMIR. A bug has been fixed in the RDFs of URC7940 and URC7950 remotes, as have some minor bugs in RMIR itself. Development build 5 updated the Linux setup file Setup.sh and re-named it as setup.sh, to accord with Linux conventions on the case of command names. Linux users updating from build 3 or development build 4 with the upgrade package will therefore find, after the upgrade, that the old Setup.sh remains, in addition to the new setup.sh. The old file should be deleted. The Windows setup file Setup.vbs remains unchanged. Build 9 is available both as a complete installation package and as an upgrade to build 3 or later. To upgrade from an earlier build, download the package RemoteMasterUpgrade.v2.10build9.zip and unzip it into the installation folder for the earlier build, replacing any files with the same names. To create a new installation for build 9, download the complete package RemoteMaster.v2.10build9.zip and unzip it to an empty folder that is not read-only. For a Windows OS this means, in particular, that it should not be unzipped into a subfolder of the Program Files folder. To create a new installation but preserve your settings from an earlier build, copy the RemoteMaster.properties file from the installation folder of the earlier build to that of the new one.
