Build 6 of RMIR v2.09 is the first official release of this new version, superseding the last official release which was v2.08 build 7. Earlier builds of v2.09 were development builds. It incorporates IrpTransmogrifier as a new default IR decoder, which has enabled reliable automated conversion of learned signals to a device upgrade. There is now a Convert to Device Upgrade button on the Learned Signals panel. Just select a consecutive set of learned signals and press the button. The earlier decoder, DecodeIR, is available as an option on the Options > Set IR Decoder menu but when selected, the conversion button is disabled. There are other minor changes and bugfixes, but this is the major change. As a result of the incorporation of IrpTransmogrifier, RMIR v2.09 requires a Java 8 runtime environment or later. Earlier versions only required Java 7. As with all new versions of RMIR, as distinct from new builds of a current version, RMIR v2.09 build 6 is only available as a full installation package. Please note that for the installation to work correctly, this package needs to be unzipped into an empty folder that is not read-only. For a Windows OS this means, in particular, that it should not be unzipped into a subfolder of the Program Files folder. If you want to preserve your settings from version 2.08 then, after unzipping the package, copy the RemoteMaster.properties file from the installation folder of that version to that of this new version. Note that protocols.ini includes no-repeat versions of certain protocols, primarily intended for use by Slingbox files. Due to the specialized nature of these versions, by default they are not loaded when RM or RMIR is opened. If you need these protocols, check the item "Show Slingbox protocols" in the Options menu of either RM and RMIR. These protocols will then be loaded in all subsequent invocations of RM and RMIR until this item is specifically unchecked.
