Just plain works. This opened the databases and let me look to see what was going wrong with my programs while all I had to write the program is scraps of notes on loose leaf paper. Thank you for this big helper.

Compact view lets you view and run Sql on Sql Server CE databases. The user interface is intuitive and lightweight. This project is well maintained and questions in the forum are answered promptly. If Compact Viewer won't execute your Sql statements, it may be because they are not supported by Sql Server CE, not because of a shortcoming of Compact View.
