CinePaint is a deep paint image retouching tool that supports higher color fidelity than ordinary painting tools. CinePaint opens high fidelity image file formats such as DPX, 16-bit TIFF, and OpenEXR, and conventional formats like JPEG and PNG.

This is the most unfinished messed up project I have ever seen, After 12 hours of chasing down dependency files needed I realized that I wasn't even half way there. This apparently is as broken up as Microsoft bloat-ware dll and foundation molasses software. After trying to install Oyranos modules the real dependency chase began, and half the links out here in La-La land referring to Cinepaint are dead,CVS, ppa reps are dead [404] From what I can see this attempt to update a great piece of software that once was literally shattered it beyond anyones ability to install. The only work around would be to abandon ubuntu all together and install StartCom linux os, witch comes with Cinepaint preinstalled, but the sacrifice of all other things ubuntu would not be worth it. I would have to hire a team of geeks and pay them 40 hours labor to acquire and install all the dependencies needed for this one.
