The CERIF TG Toolbox ==================== The CERIF TG Toolbox is a program package to assist - CERIF users in working with the semantics layer, and - members of the euroCRIS (www.eurocris.org) CERIF Task Group in the release engineering of the TG's deliverables. At this stage the following functionalities are covered: (1) "semantics-xsl2xml" Generate a CERIF XML file containing the semantics from the Excel file. (2) "semantics-xml2sql" Transform a CERIF XML semantics file into the corresponding SQL inserts to populate the Semantics Layer of a CERIF database. (3) "semantics-xml2xsd" Produce a derived CERIF XML Schema file that restricts admissible semantics to just those found in a CERIF XML semantics file. (4) "semantics-report-terms" Produce a XHTML report of terms found in one or more CERIF XML Semantics files. (5) "semantics-report-nonunique-uuids" Produce a XHTML report of terms that have non-unique UUIDs across one or more CERIF XML Semantics files. The program package is written in Java. It provides a simple command-line interface. It requires the Java Runtime Environment installed on your computer to run. This gives it a good deal of platform independence: Macs and Windows and Linux computers are all served with the same distribution file. Please have a look on the sample.sh shell script. You can modify it to your needs. Authors: Jan Dvorak (jan.dvorak@ff.cuni.cz)
