... and you hear a distant voice murmuring, "Begin, and I'll grant you three lives!" In classic arcade tradition, Brickdoh 0.60 lets players start with two extra lives. This should make it easier to actually see the later levels :) The change was added on top of the existing game, and I might have missed to adapt the one or other part of the program. It seemed to work well in my tests, though. To run Brickdoh, just download the brickdoh-0_60.jar. If you have Java 6 or newer properly installed, a double click on the jar file should start Brickdoh.
