This update is a major overhaul of the app, including an improved visual design with a new app icon and UI.
New features
- Breaks no longer have an immediate centered countdown that interrupts what you're doing, but instead first show a subtle notification that lets you begin your break when you are ready. After one minute, a one minute countdown will start.
- We now track how long it's been since your last break and will show it on the break notification when you have previously snoozed or skipped a break.
- Break messages can now contain newlines.
- Added a volume control for the break sounds.
- Renamed "Idle Reset" to "Smart Breaks", which is a little clearer.
- Builds of the app that do not auto-update (Windows and some Linux builds) will now notify you when a new version is available and link you to the download.
Bug fixes and minor improvements
- Fixes time settings getting messed up when changing time zone.
- Fixes getting stuck at "Next break in 1 minute".
- Disabling when a break is happening will now work properly and close the current break.
- "Start break now" from system tray immediately begins breaks.
- The time shown when a break is automatically detected via smart breaks (previously idle reset) is now based on when you first became idle, not after the configured time.
