Release notes for BBCiPlayerExtra 3.2.0
- Restore menu A-Z and Genre (used to be "Latest" - order is date related but not always up to date).  These menus can be time consuming to generate so maybe an issue on slow processors.
- Fix bug of not displaying program names when program selected and played using older SB players (e.g. SB3, Transporter, Boom)

- Fix-up missing logos for BBC Scotland (FM & MW) , Wales and World Service and 
  add Local Radio logos in "Listen Again".
- Add new category "lengthened" to make playable.  An episode of "More or Less" was 
  unplayable because missing handling of this new category.
- Fix minor bug when in Browser Default UI - when playing item is clicked (or More Info) 
  on RHS panel - display program image and proper metadata on LHS panel.

- Fix minor "Listen Again" program duration bug. Showed up in Material & in WebUI playlist total.

BBCiPlayerExtra 3.0.0
- Rewrite of "A-Z" menu broken due to removal of data feed.
- No longer shows all available programs/series.  Mainly those which have been broadcast within last 30 days. 
- On programs which have segment times (e.g. R1,R3 & R6) - Segment times now available.
- "Latest" menus unchanged.
- BBCiPlayerExtra is now synced to BBCiPlayer Radio menu/App menu setting 
- Missing menu icons fixed.
- Significant changes so probably bugs but some functionality better than none.

BBCiPlayer 1.6.4
- Fix for those programs which do not play - URL in BBC feed doesn't work so URL for MP3 podcast or a DASH AAC version found. The program may be longer or shorter than broadcast. 
- Program Images on menus and "Now Playing" can be square or rectangular via a setting with choice of resolution.  This setting is also used by BBCiPlayerExtra for images.
- Images added to "Recent Tracks" menu.
- Fix to title and description UTF chars which had display errors.
- Fix for bug in program bookmarking (supplied by mrw) 
- Updates due to BBC change from medialselector 5 to mediaselector 6 

BBCiPlayerExtra 2.3.0
- Updates due to BBC Mediaslector changes from 5 to 6
- DASH 128kbps streams replace Flash/AAC (RTMP) 32kbps streams used for "old" program. 
- No BBC programs played via RTMP but RTMP still available for non BBC streams.
- Add images to menus.  Image resolution setting from BBCiPlayer.
- Add BBC Sounds menu for Sounds only programs.

- Eliminate live stream start delay on Windows - requires LMS 7.9.1 July 2018 and later.
- Listen Again in HLS format works again thanks to mrw.
- Fix to displaying some characters in metadata (UTF8 handling error) 
- Fix to stop the very many erroneous  "Invalid Estimated delay" messages in log when live stream paused for more than 3 hours.

Release notes for BBCiPlayer 1.6.1 
- Many small changes provided by mrw such as remove repeated programmes, revert weekday format (i.e. no date), fixup icons, fixup bookmarking of series & fix missing duration on IP3K players "More Info".
- Change HLS playback to use HTTP 1.1. persistent connections which should reduce network load.
- Update to enable playing Listen Again in HLS (oct 18)
- Listen Again in HLS is broken again (403 forbidden) perhaps only for non UK (Nov 18) 
- HLS and MP3 live stream now will show program metadata such as track info and program image (HLS & MP3 may be preferred for live streams due to v. small delay at start) 
- Fix to reduce small pause in startup of DASH streams
- Fix to prevent "XXX mins delay" appearing incorrectly in program titles

Release notes for BBCiPlayerExtra 2.1.0
- A number of small changes to provides access to additional BBC material which now come under "BBC Sounds" heading
- More genres in "Latest" menu 
- A few more stations in A-Z indexs
- Podcast access organised & sorted by station and also by genre. Requires Podcast plugin to be enabled.Makes it easier to find program than using BBC Podcast feed in Podcast plugin.

Release notes for BBCiPlayer 1.5.4 experimental
- Minor update to 1.5.4.5
- Extended retrieved program metadata from max 100 chars to max 200 chars.
- Fix bit rate display for Flac as indicated by BBC 
- Reduce Flac startup time so live stream has less lag from realtime.
- Play Taster Binaural live stream (AAC).  (Binaural clips in menu need Extra plugin installed)
- Variable timeout for message about long response in chunk retireval (i.e. allow more time for Flac chunks)
- Fix bug which lost last segment of an "On-Demand" program - up to 6.4 sec may be lost.

Release notes for BBCiPlayer 1.5.2 beta
- Increase "Live delay" range hopefully to fix Quad Core Windows problem
- Fix cosmetic bugs in 1.5.1 which produced very large "XXXXX seconds delay" after program names
- DASH is the initial default playback format for Live and Listen Again for new installation.
- Reduced "prefetch" buffer which will reduce number of "select kill task " messages in log.
- No change has been made to HLS so rebuffering may still occur when playing HLS.
- Added alternative menu for live streams using Limelight CDN.
- Added alternative menu for live streams MP3 only but with metadata (make sure MP3 is a format in Live preferences).
- Add "Buffer Threshold" as a setting. Affects DASH, HLS and Flash formats.

Release notes for BBCiPlayerExtra 1.9.5 
- FlashAAC should be a format in On Demand preferences as sometimes program is only available in Flash.
- Fix to problem which could result in no programn playing or "competition is closed" message.
- Fix to alllow playback of Flash format if available previously didn't work in all circumstances.
- Fix to menu to allow access to "Listen Again" arhives where there are many programs usually beyond 30 days.  
- Addition of World Service menus allows access to very very many "Listen Again" programs 
- 1.9.4 had code change allow use on latest version of Perl 5.24 due to deprecated feature becoming illegal.

Main change is to fix problem playing DASH format "Listen Again".  Main symptom an error message in log which includes text "Undefined subroutine &Plugins::BBCiPlayerashAsyncHTTP::_removeGzipHeader called"

Changes:
- include _removeGzipHeader routine.
- HLS mods to use plugin defined timeouts and log error if timeouts happen
- HLS log error if http chunk response time is greater than 400ms
- DASH minor mods to handle trying to play beyond end of program.
- DASH small changes when fetching chunks to avoid gaps
- DASH log error if a request for a chunk takes longer than 800ms.

Release notes for BBCiPlayer 1.4.7

Main change relates to skip back. 

 The overloading of the "<<" Rew button has been removed because it interfered with playlist operation if BBCiPlayer station was in a playlist.  
 
Changes:
- skip back functionality now all in the More Info menu. 
- Added "skip back to start of program" 
- Added a skip forward whose increment is defined in Settings
- When skipped back - program metadata and picture will be displayed when possible.  At program changeover there may be "confusion" as player buffer a few minutes of audio and so audio is behind metadata.

- Fixes to some BBC stations (mainly local) which didn't play for non UK

Release notes for BBCiPlayer 1.4.5

Changes:
- menu.opml can be updated through Setting from either local file or remote file using HTTP URL.
- Live DASH stream can be "skipped back" up to 2 hours. 
- Options to use max or min bitrate for DASH Live and On Demand 
- mrw's bug fixes for More Info menu to provide bitrate and format details.

Feature Usage:

To update menu.opml go into BBCiPlayer Settings. At the bottom there is a text field for an URL.  

For a local file prefix the file path with "file://" so that a file in /home/sbuser/newmenu.opml becomes file:///home/sbuser/newmenu.opml. Windows paths can be prefixed as well such as file://C:\Users\Joe\Downloads\short-menu.opml or a full UNC path. For a remote file use the HTTP URL.  When Settings box is initially opened the value in the text file is where the latest menu.opml can be found in case a "reset " is required.  Click the "Load menu layout" button to update the menu.opml. Failure will be shown in text in red at top of Settings.   Once updated LMS may have to be restarted for new menu.opml to be used.  URLs for example alternative menu.opml's at end of document. 

After starting a Live  DASH stream, the "skip back" features is accessed through the "More Info" menu.  On WebGUI click the "M" icon at RHS of top line of playlist.  On Touch use "+" button on Top RHS. On Radio use "+" button.  On Boom/SB3 use cursor ">". Not sure how to access this menu on various phone/tablet apps.  

In this menu at the bottom there are two new item: 
"Skipped back min" - this indicates how many minutes current live stream is behind realtime. No delay is indicated by "Live". 
"Skip back XX mins" is a menu which is selected will skip back "XX" minutes.  Value of XX is set in BBCiPlayer Settings menu.  Each repeat press of this menu will accumulate skip back up to 2 hours.

To reset a playing stream back to realtime (i.e. no skip back) press the rewind button "<<" once .

Release notes for BBCiPlayer 1.4.4 and BBCiPlayerExtra 1.9.3

Changes to BBCiPlayer
- updated menu.opml to the one utgg posted (better icons, typos in some station, DASH World Service and Cbeebies)
- changes to suit pre Perl 5.14 should fix the "unable to load" LMS error on ReadyNAS and perhaps other older NASs.
- Disabled RadioVis in anticipation of removing it as it seems to be redundant.
- Added more/different fallback choice in Settings

Changes to BBCiPlayerExtra
- Fix to ensure DASH streams are returned.
