User Reviews

  • I tried to load a 300kb MickeyMouse 32-bit windows executable using the prebuilt Boomerang Windows version but direct loading fails with: Could not open dynamic loader library ExeBinaryFile.dll (error #126) unrecognised binary file format. failed. (according to an old discussion entry that I found later, the Windows version does not seem to support old 16-bit executables and that should NOT be the issue here) Unfortunately this error not even shows in the boomerang-UI which just doesn't seem to do anything when trying to load the same file - which makes for a rotten user experience! I also tried to use the prebuilt 32-bit version on my 64-bit Linux and after adding i386 support I got the commandline "boomerang" to run - only to find that it doesn't know how to load my test file either ("Error - NE format executable"). PS: since Boomerang has not been updated in years it seems to be a total waste of time anyway :-(
  • Most of the SVN repositories I tried had any files in them. The page boomerang.svn.sourceforge.net/viewvc/boomerang/ http Root: boomerang.sourceforge.net From the website SVN page: svn.php svn co "https""://"boomerang.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/boomerang/trunk/boomerang my-directory-name Failed. Using the TortoiseSVN SVN Checkout... on boomerang.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/boomerang/failed. However, clicking on the "code" link did work. Please update svn.php with corrected SVN information.
  • i am facing problem while decompiling as it becomes non responsive after some time
