The sampleimagewebpage.tar file is a tar archive of the sampleimagewebpage
directory. The sampleimagewebpage directory contains a fully constructed sample
of web pages created by bldndx. Since sourceforge trashes relative file
addressing when loading html files, the sample can only be properly viewed by
downloading the tar bundle sampleimagewebpage.tar to your own pc, running
tar xf sampleimagewebpage.tar
and viewing the myphotos.htm locally on your own pc.
The files are all placed on sourceforge, but viewing the myphotos.htm is best
done from your own pc.
Rel_1.1.0 is affected by html standards changes for frames. Rel_1.2.0 adds an
option to help this problem. Rel_1.3.0 fixes a missing composite image bug.
Rel_1.4.0 adds mobile device detection and special presentation for mobile
devices and changes the ascii bnx16,bnx24 fonts to unicode fonts and drops the
-cell and -indexframes options. Rel_1.5.0 simplifies the indexdiv/indexiframe
options to -index=left{forc,auto} and -index={top,bot,rht}auto options and adds
dynamic resizing of the image area with window size and adds click to show
detail in all auto index styles. Rel_1.6.0 simplifies the index options to
-index={lft,top,bot,rht}{forc,auto} and adds dynamic resizing of the image area
with window size for new index options and adds click to show detail for all
auto index styles and better centering for all forc styles and moves the check
for mobile device from once to repeatedly. Rel_1.7.0 adds the collage title
above the image for lft{forc,auto} styles and changes image displays to use the
flex property except for mac safari browser and changes the verbose mode
messages to properly reflect the -out option value and changes the index summary
for mobile devices to correctly handle collage names with 1, 2, 3, or 4 letters
after collage. Rel_1.8.0 adds forcepc, forcemobile, and userselect to the
allowed option values for the -celldetect option and recommends not using the
-celldetect=useragent option value and adds imagemagick creation of custom
color images for blank thumbnails and blank image backgrounds other than
grey and white (this permits using color options with the onsep option value
and permitted removing the check to prevent using the onsep option value
with custom color options) and changes the library directory name from iconx
to lib.
Bldndx has been tested on cygwin in a windows environment and works there.
