Bittixlinux9, this is howto get it in minimum configuration: make a new directory and cd there and give these commands, one by one, wait first, until the previous has finished sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get install unzip git genisoimage bashburn git clone git://git.code.sf.net/p/bittixlinux9dnlhlpmknisob1/code dnlhlpmknisob1 git clone git://git.code.sf.net/p/bittix9dnlhlp1/code dnl1 git clone git://git.code.sf.net/p/bittix9dnlhlp2/code dnl2 git clone git://git.code.sf.net/p/bittix9dnlhlp3/code dnl3 git clone git://git.code.sf.net/p/bittix9dnlhlp5/code dnl5 git clone git://git.code.sf.net/p/bittix9dnlhlp6/code dnl6 git clone git://git.code.sf.net/p/bittix9dnlhlp8/code dnl8 if you want the extra modules you can do, but don't need The Virtualbox guest os module: git clone git://git.code.sf.net/p/bittixdnlhlp4/code dnl4 The USA vector sea charts module for OpenCPN chart/gps plotter, this is about 240 Mb file, so don't download if you don't need it, instead you can get or make e.g. .kap files of the charts in your area, there are instructions in the web, google ! : git clone git://git.code.sf.net/p/bittix9dnlhlp7/code dnl7 find from subdirectories, that is from in the first ones you got by git the .zip file cd there with terminal and give the command unzip makebittix.zip copy all .sb files from all directories you downloaded by git to the unzipped slax directory in terminal cd there, to slax directory and give these commands ./make_iso.sh when asked give the filename: bittixlinux9-xfce-dvd-amd64.iso when the process is ready the file is found by giving the command ls *.iso with command bashburn you can start the program by which you can burn the iso image file onto dvd. if you need to boot it from usb-memory stick there is at least 3 programs: http://unetbootinbitti.sourceforge.net http://www.bittix.org From your own linux distribution there is most probably unetbootin, which is probably not necessary if you are able to install the previous. sudo apt-get install unetbootin unetbootin or in Linux Mint mintstick or first sudo apt-get install mintstick or if you don't have Mint, then for 64-bit linuxes: http://usbimagewriterrepack.sourceforge.net/ there are windows versions for unetbootinbitti and unetbootin at least. download from http://unetbootinbitti.sourceforge.net if by any chance somehow you have copy of all those .sb files and unzipped the zip file on your windows machine, then it just might be possible to run in command line in the unzipped slax folder make_iso.bat and get the iso image stitched together, but it is not tested at all by me.
