Download the appropriate version of the application, all the tools are meant to be only used on command line, the .tar.gz is for those who are comfortable with running / debugging the a user side compilation / shell based installasion, or those who are wanting to tweak with the program to fit their needs. For all others, there is the PreCompiled version, these versions have been compiled in an architecture independent manner, if required change the ownership / permissions usinging chown / chmod before running. Look at the wiki for any help you need.
