BitcoinSuite ------------- BitcoinSuite is a Java based graphical user interface for Bitcoin, a peer-to-peer Domain Name System based on Bitcoin technology (a decentralized cryptocurrency). It is a direct fork of NamecoinJ project, a Java based graphical user interface for Namecoin, a peer-to-peer Domain Name System based on Bitcoin technology. Running BitcoinSuite ------------------- In order to use BitcoinSuite, you need Bitcoin daemon 'bitcoind' which is available to download at: http://bitcoin.org/ When running BitcoinSuite for the first time, you will be guided by a wizard to configure Bitcoin daemon 'bitcoind'. Follow the wizard as below: - Download 'bitcoind' from site above, extract and place it in your program directory - Input the path of 'bitcoind' above to the wizard. - It will test 'bitcoind' and try to configure it if there is no configuration file found. - You will be prompted the default content of configuration file, appropriate username and password maybe already configured. - Finish the wizard to save configuration and launch application. Currently, BitcoinSuite consists of four viewable modules: - Generic Command: + Client tab: to send command with arbitrary arguments to Bitcoin daemon and show raw outputs, either results or errors. + Daemon tab: to start or stop daemon with arbitrary options. - Account Manager: to manage accounts, addresses and balances belong to you. - Transaction Manager: to manage Bitcoin transactions involving your account or address. - Send Manager: to send bitcoins using command 'sendtoaddress', 'sendfrom', or 'sendmany', and move bitcoins between accounts inside wallet using command 'move'.
