Highlights

  • Fresh mentions, even during a backfill. Refresh the newest mentions without abandoning older pages, with native commands for checking the latest activity and resuming history.
  • A faster everyday archive. Feeds, Inbox, search, maps, and long DM conversations do less unnecessary work, while the browser and CLI start with fewer dependencies.
  • More reliable images. Avatars and link-preview thumbnails recover when local cached images are missing, including in read-only archives and network maps.

Fixes and improvements

  • Add sync mentions --latest and --resume. Newest-page reads preserve pending continuations, resumed scans retain their original boundaries, and JSON output reports the scan intent, position, and check time. Web and scheduled account refreshes now request current mentions. (#186)
  • Restore avatar fallbacks throughout profiles and maps, and include original-author profiles when syncing reposts and quoted tweets. (#146, [#150], [#152])
  • Restore external link-preview thumbnails through a bounded image cache, and cancel obsolete preview work so navigation does not leave new cards waiting behind abandoned requests. (#145, [#153])
  • Keep hover previews correctly positioned and unclipped when their layout or content changes. (#167)
  • Preserve deterministic timeline ordering at page boundaries while selecting posts before loading their rich metadata. (#183)

Performance

  • Page long DM histories and cache the selected conversation independently of list filters. Earlier messages remain accessible, and complete CLI/API reads keep their existing behavior. Reuse sender profiles and avoid rerendering unchanged conversations while composing. (#182)
  • Speed up feeds, Inbox, and search by selecting and ranking narrow candidate rows before loading full content. Batch cited tweets, reposts, mention profiles, links, and conversation enrichment instead of repeating lookups per item.
  • Reduce startup requests and browser JavaScript, bootstrap authorized read-only status with the page, reuse validated read-only queries until the database changes, and serve compact versioned branding assets.
  • Make map interactions smoother by reusing profile ordering while panning and zooming. Reuse formatters, pause timestamp updates in hidden tabs, and skip unchanged timeline renders.
  • Speed up large archive imports and live sync by rebuilding tweet and DM search entries in batches instead of repeatedly scanning the full index. (#184, [#185])
  • Reduce SQLite allocation and preparation work and reuse a bounded statement cache.
  • Start CLI help and local commands with fewer imports; standalone version checks return directly from package metadata.
