How to get API key?

A. Enable APIs for Google Sheets and Google Drive

1. Go to Google Developers Console and create a new project
2. Enter a name for the project. You may leave ‘Location’ as ‘No Organization’. Press Create
3. Now, we will enable the Google Sheets and Google Drive APIs. To do so, click on 'Enable APIs ans services'
4. Enter 'Google Sheets API' in the search bar, click on the 'Google Sheets API' option, and press 'Enable'
5. Similarly, search for and enable the 'Google Drive API'

B. Create a Service Account and fetch credentials

1. To create one, click on 'Create credentials'
2. Select 'Google Sheets API' in the 'Select an API' section, 'Application Data' and 'No, I’m not using them' in the following questions. Click 'Next'
3. Enter the display name and name for the service account
4. Now we will enter the access level for the service account. Click on 'Select a Role' and select 'Editor' under the 'basic' section. Press 'Continue'
5. You may leave the 'Grant users access to this service account' section as blank and now, press 'Done'
6. Now click on the service account that was just created
7. Go to the 'Keys' section and click on 'Add key'. Select 'Create new key'
8. Select 'JSON' to download the keys in the JSON file format. Click on 'Create'
9. The above file will be downloaded into your system. Do not share the keys with anyone and keep them safe!
10. Choose this JSON file at the 'Upload API Json' button. Feature: you do not need to load it twice!

C. Add Service Account as an editor

1. Merely add the service account as one of the editors in that sheet. You will find the Service Account email in your keys file as 'client_email'

Why does not it work?

1. You may have mixed up sales and remains files
2. You may have replaced API key: how can we find them without your help?
3. Internet is too slow
4. You may have changed the structure of files in Google Sheets
5. You may have forgotten to add your Service Account as an editor
