This light and easy tool is excellent to quickly transmit text data from a PC to a Smartphone without usage of any wireless or wired link. I configured the activation of this Bar Generator app through a keyboard shortcut (Alt-Grp S); if I have to send a message to a mobile phone (e.g., write an email text, write an SMS text or write a long string without the need of interacting with the Smartphone standard input methods), I simply open the Bar Generator, write the message (or paste it from a PC application, leaving the default QR code option), open a Scan code app on the Smartphone (e.g., on my iOS device, I use "Scan" but any app would be ok), get the text on the Smartphone, press copy and paste it over any SmartPhone app. Notice also that a formatted "sms" QR code just starts with the text "SMSTO:" or more simply: "SMS:tel:text" Google "zxing Barcode-Contents" for valid patterns allowing to access browser, phone call numbers, contacts, email, SMS, MMS, calendar, youtube, geographic locations, wifi, Google Play, etc.
