Search backups
"Where is ponuda_2025.xlsx?" — the new Search page (left menu, below Restore) finds files, folders and Microsoft 365 mails by subject across all backups and all dates.
- Type part of a name or a pattern like
*.xlsxorponuda*2025*; optionally limit it to one job. - Each hit shows the job, agent, path, size and newest backup; Versions lists every different version, unchanged backups are combined.
- Open jumps to the folder in that backup, to download or restore the file.
- Searches file, NAS, Linux system and Microsoft 365 backups on network storage (SFTP, S3, SMB, Azure, hardened). Disk images and VM backups are not searched.
- REST API:
GET /api/v1/search?q=&job=(restore operator).
Job chains
New schedule After another job: a job starts as soon as another job has finished — first the database, then the file server. By default only after success; tick also when that job failed to run after any result. Loops and chains to the job itself are refused.
Backup window
Backup window: start only between (e.g. 22–6) in the job form: scheduled and chained runs start only inside the window. A run still waiting when the window closes (because the night's jobs took longer) is cancelled instead of starting during working hours. Starting a job by hand ignores the window.
PDF reports
Reports have a PDF button: a ready-to-send A4 report for a manager or a client in your language — totals, a chart of backups per day, all jobs with success rate and last good backup, and the problems of the period. Emailed and scheduled reports now attach the PDF next to the CSV.

Releases are signed with the BackupZit release key; consoles verify them before installing.
