Notifications in your language
Emails, Slack and Teams messages and reports can now be sent in any of the 14 console languages. Choose the language under Settings → Email notifications ("Language of emails, chat messages and reports"); by default it is the console language used when the settings are saved.
- Run alerts, the daily report, scheduled reports and the chat messages of Slack and Teams use it.
- So do the console's own emails: approval requests, audit log warnings, failed console backups, duplicate agents, certificate expiry and renewal, available and failed updates, blocked sign-ins and the test email.
- The subject of run alerts keeps its format (
[BackupZit] FAILED Backup "…" on …in English), so existing mail rules keep working. - Webhook JSON, CSV columns and messages reported by the agents stay in English.
Fixes and improvements
- Commands before and after a backup: the run page now shows the output of each command also when it succeeds (the last 2000 characters), not only when it fails.
- File restore from disk images uses the same folder layout as file backups: restoring into
D:\RestoregivesD:\Restore\C\Users\…. - Recovery agents (machines started from the recovery media) are removed automatically after 7 days without contact, unless a run is queued or running for them. The removal is in the audit log.
- Updates: the time and result of the last release check are kept across console restarts, so the page no longer says "Last check: never" after an update.
Releases are signed with the BackupZit release key; consoles verify them before installing.
