New
- Browse file backups — Browse files on a file, NAS or Linux system backup shows the backed up folders. Tick files and folders to download them in the browser (one file as it is, several as a ZIP) or to restore them on an agent, into a folder or to the original location. Works for backups on network storage (SFTP, S3, SMB, Azure, hardened repository).
- Test connection for storage targets — a new target is tested right away with its credentials (write, read back, remove a small file; on immutable storage only sign in and list), and Test connection on the Storage page repeats it. Wrong passwords, keys, host keys, buckets and unreachable servers show at once, with a hint.
- Release notes on Settings → Updates are shown formatted.
Fixes
- A backup that fails because SFTP storage is full now says so ("the storage may be full or over its quota") instead of only "SSH_FX_FAILURE".
Releases are signed with the BackupZit release key; consoles verify them before installing.
