- Web console access (Settings → Sign-in & security) — for a console on a public address: the web console answers only the listed IP addresses or networks (others get "not found"), while agents always reach their API on port 8443. Optionally port 8443 serves agents only and the web console runs on the web port (Settings → Certificate), so a firewall can open 8443 to everyone and 443 only to the administrators. Localhost and the appliance's setup menu (item 5) can always lift the limits.
Fixes
- Windows agent installer: on a computer where the agent was installed before, the installer skipped the enrollment code and kept the old console. Uninstalling now sets the enrollment aside (
agent.json.removed-<date>), and on a computer enrolled before the installer asks: leave the code empty to keep the old enrollment, or paste a new code.
Releases are signed with the BackupZit release key; consoles verify them before installing.
