\ulnone\f0\fs28 WHAT SHOULD I DO AFTER INSTALLATION?\par
\b0\fs22\par
As this is an Alpha Release, it fails to create a new user of your name. So, you need to create an user yourself or you can continue using the default user created by BackSlash. The details of the default user are:\par
Name: Live Session User\par
UserName: backslash\par
Password: root\par
To create your own user with customised username and password, go to settings after the installation is complete and create a user with Administrator privilages and type username and password for that user (you may be aksed to use a strong password with combination of Upper Case letters, lower case letters, Numbers and Symbols but you want to have an easy password like 'apple' or 'hello', you need not to worry, enter a strong password for first time then we will reset it to a custom one)\par
Now go to Login Settings located at the bottom of settings and enter the password as "root", if asked. Then remove "login as root", "use timed login" and "automatic login" feature from options and exit.\par
Logout and login into your newly created user and open terminal by pressing Ctrl+Alt+T and type:\par
sudo passwd\par
enter the password you just entered while creating your user and press enter.\par
Enter your new password two times and you are done.\par
Goto settings and remove the user Created by BackSlash.\par
\par
\par
\b\fs28 HOW DO I INSTALL NEW APPS?\par
\ul\f1\fs22\par
\b0 1. From The App Store:\par
\ulnone If you know the name of an application, you can search for it. (Even if you don't know it, you can explore via categories or searching a matching term or category)\par
If you found your app, click install and enter your password to download and Install it.\par
\par
\ul 2. From Synaptic Package Manager:\par
\ulnone If you know the exact process-name of name of an application, you can search for it and install it from Synaptic Package Manager. Synaptic comes preinstalled in BackSlash.\par
\par
\ul 3. From a .deb file:\par
\ulnone If you have a .deb file, you can install it via the App Store or GDebi Package Manager. It is recommended to use GDebi. While GDevi doesn't come pre-installed in BackSlash, it is free to download and you can search for it in the store.\par
\par
\par
