autoplot.jar is an executable jar file. Change the permissions on it, and it can be
run on Windows and Macs by double-clicking on it, or on Linux/Unix by
typing in the jar file name (./autoplot.jar). It requires that Java 1.8 ("Java 8"),
preferably 64 bit, be on the system search path.
Autoplot.dmg is a distribution made for Macs, which has an embedded JRE (Java Runtime Environment) within.
Autoplot.exe is Windows executable, which also has an embedded JRE.
