I have heard a lot about Audacity. Today trying it myself

tengo tiempo utilizando audacity al rededor de tres o cuatro años y a mi ver es una aplicación que es fácil de utilizar y a la vez te guía sobre lo que quieres hacer soy aficionado a la música y mi pasatiempo favorito es grabar es como un jovi para mi. Sin fines lucrativos ya que mis grabaciones son personales y como dije es un desestres que tengo he buscado otras aplicaciones y nada mejor que se acomode a mi que audacity .

I love the audacity software, didn't understand it at first but i visited audacityflex . com where i got a lot of useful tutorial that help master it and over 700 sound effects with it. came in useful for my youtube videos and production

I am too much frustrated with it.would you please provide tutorials to export in 5.1 AAC audio with neroAAC or any other other AAC encoder. It crash too much when working on 5.1 audio or 7.1.

2.3.0 don't work on new installs without fully updated had to revert back to 2.1 for windows 8.0 8.1, microsoft is playing up the 8.1, we did find the proper update to fix this on 7 it has to be-be latest .net frame 4.7.2 is there a way we can have it be used using the earlier or mingle with both 3.5 and 4.5 up version. as sometimes this frame system is an issue with some stuff, api-ms-runtime-crt dll missing from the main exe and zip file we use these on all systems as an oem provider so letting ya know. we have been using this for years I actually cut 2 albums with my vocals with this better than some auto tuner program, real musicians with real talent us it. lol someone asked why not use auto tuner lol, I'm real, not fake if I can't tune it by vocals, yea your not a real singer paigestormblade.com

In comparison of other DAWs this is very easy to use but also offers many advanced functions. I've read some comments about not able to import/export to MP3 etc. You can, however you have to download and import the lame codec separately. This is due to copyrights. It's very easy. Go via the menubar to "Preferences" and then find "Libraries". There you can download and import the needed lame codec and also FFMPEG for importing many other kind of audiofiles. Would be great but will not allow me to add lame so I can save my music as mp3

i have never been so annoyed and angry to use a software.. this software is silly and useless. bad user interface. hard to use. and speed up function is nonsense... after downloading that huge size according to its competitors and trying to install and save it in mp3 format; silly software ask me to where to find lame for mp3. it is not included. because other important (!!!) functions were more dominant to add default rather than putting mp3 encoding dlls... waste of time

Version 2.2.1 removed Leveler and now MUTED TRACKS UN-MUTE THEMSELVES IF I SOLO ANY FOR FURTHER INSPECTION. This has not changed in 2.2.2 I could handle you removing solo-ing multiple tracks at once, but NOT the un-muting of tracks that I manually muted. They shouldn't un-mute unless I hit instruct them to, yet there they go: making a huge sound mess after I was inspecting something and working on it SO THAT I CAN ACTUALLY MIX THINGS PROPERLY. Honestly, why did you remove the actual usability of such a basic tool? Why even keep it as an option if in the end it means nothing? AT LEAST ADD AN OPTION FOR IT TO BE OF USE IN USER PREFERENCES The rest of the software is pretty much exactly as it used to be. There's really no big improvement other than visuals. Which personally idgaf about even half as much as I do about being able to actually mix.

It amazes me people download this malware infested version, when the real Audacity is hosted on their own website. Can people not read that this is a "mirror"?

TERRIBLE! Program simply deleted an entire hour long podcast for no reason. No explanation was given, simply, "possible bug error". That's how customers are treated? They work so hard on editing and constructing something only to see there was a bug error? Great work Audacity, you have truly won my trust on this one. Never using this software again.

This is excellent software. It's great for removing noise and clicks from old audio files. It's awesome for mixing multiple tracks down to a stereo file. I use it for speeding up spoken word tracks without increasing the pitch. Cutting and cross fading is easy. The equalization is very good. I can't be used on-the-fly but I quickly got used to the preview mode which can be set to any part of the track. It does a great job of exporting tracks to compressed audio formats. I recently discovered that you can drop video files into Audacity and it will grab the audio tracks. This makes it ideal for extracting audio from video files. There's a lot more to say about this great piece of software. Many thanks to all those who have contributed to it!
