AsterLinux is based on Arch Linux with an overall goal of making both Arch and GNU/Linux accessible to all users.

The development goal of AsterLinux is to find the right balance between a GUI driven and terminal heavy desktop environment.

For new users this means a beautifully themed yet familiar desktop; custom GUI apps, under the hood tweaks and many UI enhancements.

Intermediate users will appreciate the keyboard shortcuts, a beautifully themed terminal and the shell aliases for everyday commands.
