  • Even though I am sort of an insider (I made a small contribution to the code years ago) I want to send my heartfelt thanks to the core developers. I teach a university course on procedural shading, and Aqsis has now completely replaced Pixar's PRMan for the purpose of SL shader programming in lab sessions and project work. To me and my students, Aqsis means freedom to tinker, anywhere and on any platform, without worrying over licenses.
