User Reviews

  • It would be great if this extension could use the public anti-ads subscription lists made for AdBlock Plus (the plugin for Firefox and Mozilla browsers). It would require implementing the regular expression builder from a large list, and offering the same level of blocking, without having to "learn" a lot of sites to block before the extension becomes usable and really useful. Anyway, for now this is the only ad-blocking extension for Chrome, and it will certainly be improved (because its filter list is really too much basic, and can become quite slow when managing large lists of URLs to block.) If a newer extension can also inspect the cookies to block, it would be marvelous. but the basic generic settings (for overlays) has many problems on sites where overlays are absolutely needed for the actual content which is NOT ads. The filter should also allow the content coming from the visited site to not be blocked (blocking only third-party contents, because these are the most common sources of SLOW navigation). The embedded documents from the site itself at least will be at the same speed as the visited page.
