Spreadsheet and DBMS which runs on terminals or terminal emulators (like gnome terminal, xterm, and many others). Buildable on Linux or windows+cygwin
Added logic to make more space displayable (see aparms.inc or copies thereof). Many advanced functions, each cell can contain a program. Start with analyrimlinux.zip. Build with analy-install.shellscriipt

Features

  • Numerous functions, fft, regression, matrix math, plus usual spreadsheet
  • However written in 1982, uses its own command language

User Reviews

  • Analyrim is an example of a spreadsheet designed in 1982, and is different from most every popular one today. It has been enlarged and can be compiled for quite large models, and includes matrix math, various statistics functions, and many more idiosyncratic but powerful functions. Some of the features were first to appear and there are template routines that can be added to allow other functions to be added. It takes a little getting used to (runs inside a terminal window) but is a totally free program, not using GPL (it predates it) but is just considered public domain by its authors. As a fully compiled Fortran program it is pretty fast internally. The program has had some more full screen stuff added. Plotting with gnuplot is integrated, though gnuplot must be separately installed for this.
