AionOS — Beta 1
Welcome to AION OS Beta-1.
Thank you for trying the first public beta of AION OS. This release is intended primarily for developers, testers, robotics enthusiasts, and early adopters who want to experience the operating system before its stable release.
⚠️ This is a developer beta
AionOS Beta-1 is an early, developer-facing release. It has not been extensively tested across different hardware, and you should expect to run into bugs, rough edges, and things that don't work quite right yet. This build is meant for tinkering, feedback, and early testing — not as a daily-driver production system just yet.
If something breaks, that's expected at this stage. Please don't treat this as a finished, polished release.

Known limitations in this beta
- Steam is not included by default. Support for installing and running Steam out of the box is planned for a future update, not this release.
- NVIDIA driver support is not set up by default. If you have an NVIDIA GPU, you'll need to install the appropriate driver manually for now — this will be handled automatically in a future update.
- General stability, hardware compatibility, and first-boot behavior are still being worked on. If you hit something broken, it's very likely already known or expected at this stage rather than something unique to your setup.
Installing
Boot from the live USB, try things out, and when you're ready, use the Install System icon on the desktop to install AionOS to your disk via the graphical installer.
Feedback
Since this is a beta, feedback on what's broken, what's missing, and what would be useful in future updates is genuinely welcome. Future updates will focus on Steam support, NVIDIA driver integration, and general stability improvements based on what turns up during this beta period.
