  • This interesting project needs a lot more work to become competitive. First of all, the option for a computer opponent is very hard to find. Secondly, strength adjustment is even harder to find. Thirdly, the AI only takes material and mobility into account, but not interaction among the pieces. In particular, it doesn't want to castle in the beginning and makes a lot of problems to itself. The most annoying bug is when you are close to checkmating the computer opponent, it starts moving your pieces instead of your king. Other issues include not announcing the game is over, and, lastly, the ridiculous mistake to assign white square to white king. I know how it is, and am making something similar, so overall impression is positive, but the project definitely needs much more work.
