This download folder contains bugfix releases for the latest ADVISOR software. Files are named advisor-YYYY-NN-rXXXX.zip where YYYY corresponds to the major ADVISOR release year, NN to an optional release number for the given year for the case of multiple major releases in a single year, and the XXXX will correspond to the Subversion code repository revision number.
Generally speaking, you will want to download the advisor file with the highest YYYY-NN year and release number. For cases with multiple files with the same YYYY-NN year and release number, choose the file with the highest revision number. All advisor files with the same YYYY-NN year/release combination will contain the same functionality.
With the ADVISOR software, we are aiming for stability in API and to provide a "reference" version of the software for conducting publishable work.

This is a minor update with the following issues addressed:
This is a bug-fix release of the ADVISOR software 2003. With this release, the ADVISOR software is now able to run on the Mac OS X platform. It should also run on Linux (if you have Matlab/Simulink installed) but this has not been tested. Any ability to test on Linux will be appreciated. This release also begins to fix some of the warnings and errors due to changes in the MATLAB and Simulink API.
This is the original file provided to Big Ladder by NREL for distribution as Open Source. This file was available on the top level of the downloads folder as "ADVISOR2003-for-distrib.zip" until July 4, 2012 when it was renamed and placed in this directory. This distribution of ADVISOR will form the base case for any regression testing.
