Version 4.0.0.2 of the Flash Player Updater(64 bit only by design) September 18 2016:
See changes at: http://goo.gl/D1HJDu

Version 3.3.2.2 of the Flash Player Updater(64 bit only by design):
See changes at: http://goo.gl/D1HJDu

Version 3.3.1.14 of the Flash Player Updater(64 bit only by design):

1) Fixed: gui off center looking
2) Added: Will not show options for 'fix permissions' if on Windows 8.x and above

Version 3.3.1.12 of the Flash Player Updater(64 bit only by design):

1) Fixed: Flash Player versions are now determined by looking at the actual file version, as this is more reliable in windows 8.X and up as the registry values for ActiveX might not necessarly show the actual version installed.
2) Added: Flash cookies/cach are now cleaned for all users on the machine. I cannot find any ill side effects of this so far.
3) Added: AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\PepperFlash is now cleaned for all users as well.
4) Note: Fix permissions usually will result in fails and access denied messages on Windows 8.X and 10. I am leaving it in as an option for those Operating Systems, but chances are they will do nothing.

Version 3.3.1.0 of the Flash Player Updater(64 bit only by design):

1) Fixed: typos in the GUI
2) Fixed: Wrong ActiveX version was being displayed for old and new in the event log
3) Added: Future version 26 through 30 to the Fix permissions list so the program does not have to be re-compiled so often.

Version 3.3.0.9 of the Flash Player Updater(64 bit only by design):

Wanted to again make people aware that you need only download this utility once REGARDLESS if Adobe releases a new version of Flash Player. It will always get the newest version from their site.

1) Fixed: Fix permission was running after the install when it should run before the install
2) Fixed: Folders '\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Flash Player' and '\AppData\Roaming\Macromedia\Flash Player' will now be cleaned in windows 8 and 10
3) Added: some additional links in the GUI for reference so people understand the process better so they are not left in the dark.
4) Added: Future version 21 through 25 to the Fix permissions list so the program does not have to be re-compiled so often.

Version 3.3.0.8 of the Flash Player Updater(64 bit only by design):

1) Fixed: Added minimize button
2) Changed: GUI timeout to 5 minutes

Version 3.3.0.7 of the Flash Player Updater(64 bit only by design):

1) Added: Fix permissions for users that get failed to register, Flash will not work under stander user account, & flash asking to update after reboots.( https://forums.adobe.com/thread/987370 ).
2) Added: Tooltips to check boxes for updates and protected mode.
3) Added: Hyperlinks in GUI for more information on what each tickbox does.
4) Added: Added to event log if fix permission, auto update, or protected mode was used.
5) Fixed: Minor GUI issues that were not noticed but effected the addition of the tool tips and hyperlinks.
6) Fixed: Allowed protected mode without auto updates.
7) Fixed: Resized and made font clearer and cleaner.
8) Changed: GUI Timeout to 3 minutes

Version 3.3.0.3 of the Flash Player Updater(64 bit only by design):

1) Added: GUI color change to a more appealing light power blue over a sterile white one
2) Bug fix: Removes old ppapi flash files located under:
c:\users\%username%\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\PepperFlash
These files may or may not exist under any user that has used chrome and flashplayer. Removing them does not affect the usage of Chrome. The files can be deleted while chrome is in use, but if some instance requires chrome to be closed, it will force chrome closed and try again.
3) Added: the ability to disable protected mode if you run into any flash player issues, and it was suggested to disable protected mode. This will do it for you

Version 3.3.0.2 of the Flash Player Updater(64 bit only by design):

1) GUI change
2) Added the ability to choose to allow the Adobe Updater Service to update Flash automatically via a checkbox ( this is checked by default ).
3) The GUI and progress will always be on top of all windows during run.
4) The GUI time out period was changed to 60 seconds, and if nothing was pressed then the application would close and no update would continue.
5) Instead of the application containing a mms.cfg file embeded in the exe the application now creates the mms.cfg file from scratch. The values remain the same though.
SilentAutoUpdateEnable=1
AutoUpdateDisable=0
6) FAST uninstall/install of all three versions on windows 7 takes typically 45 seconds for all three installs ( depending on machine, network speed, etc. ). On a windows 10 machine you are looking at about 30 seconds for the NPAPI and PPAPI installs.

Version 3.1.5 of the Flash Player Updater(64 bit only by design):

1) Bug fix: added addition killing of Opera ( opera.exe ) if open to the kill list.
2) Added: remove the mms.cfg file if it exists from directory C:\Windows\SysWOW64\Macromed\Flash
3) Bug fix: deleting the adobe uptater task correctly.
4) Bug fix: corrected a message not to display if using Vista

Version 3.1.3 of the Flash Player Updater(64 bit only by design):

1) Added event logging to the windows event log showing old and new versions if successful.

Version 3.1.2 of the Flash Player Updater(64 bit only by design):

1) Removed ShockWave Player uninstall/install - reason is that I have not encountered any sites using this plugin; another plugin that needs to be maintained. Furthermore it has not been patched for 2 years. I know there is a new version out however the fact that Nobody seems to have any sites that actually require it is even more compelling. http://www.dslreports.com/forum/r30170462-Adobe-Shockwave-Player-12-1-8-159 http://krebsonsecurity.com/2014/05/why-you-should-ditch-adobe-shockwave/ IF you need shockwave for some antiquated reason go here: https://ninite.com/shockwave/
2) Changed the structure of the code, so that now each component called to be downloaded indiviually instead of all at once. On fast networks this is not an issue but on slower ones this will cause a lag in downloading flash players as it has to wait for all 3 to download. Furthermore with Windows 8.X and windows 10 there is no need to download ActiveX Version as that is built in to Windows. This again saves time and speens up the process.
3) In version 3.1.1 the users temp directory was purged of old files as part of the process to remove any downloaded files from adobe, now that has changed to only the specific files that I download from adobe will be removed, in this case only 4 files.
