#39 Oscilator sync feature? Sync modulation mode?

One thing I miss form Zyn is an oscilator sync mode. Maybe it could work as a modulator in ADDsynth engine? Maybe a special function to make one voice of adsynth modulate another (external modulator) in this way?

Not sure how to technically do it or if it's doable in ZynAddSubFX at all.

That might allow for some great sounds to emerge. Possiblypulse-width modulation effects too?

Let me know what you think of this. Does it make any sense?

Yeah, I'd say that this makes sense, though there is a problem with this which is in common with other modulators.
This issue is aliasing which is quite severe with the frequency modulation and I'd imagine it would be moderately severe with this as well.
Generally this is avoided by making use of some nice special cases or by oversampling, neither of which work particularly well for this, but that's not necessarily a showstopper.

In order to get this to work well from a user's perspective, the sync would likely need to be between two voice outputs which can be done, but the signal flow isn't currently setup for this.
This would need to be done relatively far down the line after the 2.5.0 release is done.

I think to do oscillator sync it is only needed to reset the oscillator position of the sync slave to 0 if voiceout of the sync master crosses zero.
Chosing the master should work just like choosing an external voice as oscillator.

could be nice together with AA, maybe even with the existing one.
