I've noticed those sysex things are kinda long and
hard to understand sometimes..
And as there is going to be sysex support in ZT2 I'd
like to see a loader/saver for these effects..
So lets say you have made a nice sysex effect, you can
save them.. and load them ofcourse at a later time
later in your song so you dont have to make them
again..
Dont know what format you should use, or make a new ZT
only format.. But there is a format .syx .. used by
cakewalk and other programs.
I dont know wheter you just are allowed to use that,
but there are lots of pre-sets of SysEX commands with
this.
At least, I find a lot of .syx files. :)
And may-b there are already libraries for this, so its
somewhat more easy to code..
Just an idea, what would be nice in ZT2..

If sysex import is going to be implemented, I'd definitely
go for .syx format. Almost every program capable of
importing/exporting data dumps use this format so it would
be widely supported. Not to mention that most available
sysex files in the net are already in .syx format (like
synthesizer presets) like Rap said.
Speaking of presets, import/export sysex feature would be
very usable for storing synthesizer data (like presets,
multi performances) as a part of the song. But in my
opinion this shouldn't be a top priority feature if it
looks time consuming... :)
