As stated in your FAQ, ZT runs fine on a PIII@600MHz.
Isn't it
possible to speedup the program so it can run even on more low powered
machines (say Pentium 200 or even 166MHz)? For example: Cakewalk 9
runs fine on those machines with quite a few complex tracks and even
audio!
ZT on the other hand has a huge latency and can't keep up.
Even in the instrument editor, sounds are played with about 500ms
latency.

For now, we're unable to use ZT.... back to Cakewalk :-

Well.. I'm not helping with the development of ZT, but as
I've read there is indeed a lot of coding that needs a lil
    speedup..
As for what I think: I think ZT2 and the coming releases
will fix the latency a lot and the programming will
    be "faster".

I mean.. read the changelog.txt and see speeding up ZT is a
big issue.. It used to consume 100% system sources :) <evil
    grinz>...

yeah .. raptor is right.. close attn is being paid to zt2
being alot faster (and more stable) than zt1... im coding
zt2 every day now (check cvs if you want to see how its
comming) so hopefully something will be working soon!
