it appears to me that notes can hang quite easily in zt
(especially on strings or other long notes), and stop,
panic and hard panic don't stop them. every time it
happens i have to press the midi reset button on my
midisport 8x8 usb midi interface.
it seems that stopping/panicking doesnt really send
note off commands to all open devices on all channels
(which, according to its manual, is what the midi reset
button on the 8x8 *does*)...
it usually happens when i'm browsing through pattern
(using + and -), while playing, and then pressing F5
again in another pattern. then when i stop, i notice on
note hanging forever, until i reset the 8x8. oh yeah, the
offending instrument has tracker mode set to 'on'.

Well.. yes! ghehehe.. There were some people talking about
this problem earlier.
The problem is this: When you start a note (e.g. C4) and in
another channel you start the same instrument with the
same note, C4 will hang. And wont stop playing untill you a:
reset midi device, b: you quit ZT and start again.
The reaction was: its becuase of the midi protocol why this
behaviour happens.
But, strange thing, when you open another midi sequencer,
eg. cakewalk of cubase, you can open the same two notes in
different channels.
So errr.. to me it seems its a lil bug in ZT and not a limitation
of the midi protocol.
I've tried more programs, but they all can play two of the
same notes of one instruments.. Hell.. even err four.. five..
six.. two-hundred.. :)
I hope this problem will be adressed in ZT2... Speaking of
ZT2: When do we get to play with the first beta!!!!
Err.. well.. "we".. "me" is good as well. :) <evil grinz>
