Adding in a DGA2 mode to the X11 code for non-OpenGL
rendering would be a useful idea since X11R6.8 finally
has this as a useful feature once again for native
hardware acceleration of graphics through /dev/mem.
This feature can be tested by using Allegro's testing
utility found in the source package. Would be very
useful for graphics chipsets with minimal or no OpenGL
hardware accelerated graphics or VESA/VGA only graphics.
I tested this using an Nvidia GeForce 4 Ti 4600 AGP
with the NvidiaGLX drivers having DGA enabled and using
Allegro's source compile package with testing/sample
utilities.

Zsnes for linux uses SDL to render in software mode. By
running 'export SDL_VIDEODRIVER="dga"', followed by 'zsnes'
as root, you can tell SDL to use DGA2, instead of the
default X11 driver.
