I am able to work on the ZooLib cookbook fairly regularly now, although I have not been able to put a whole lot of time into it. Happily, I have DocBook XML working both on my Debian PowerPC macintosh and my Slackware pentium III laptop. So I can take my laptop down to the cafe and have a latte and a bagel while writing. I have put what I have so far up at: http://goingware.com/zoolib/cookbook/ I have an introduction and part of a chapter on ZHelloWorld. When I get the chapter on ZHelloWorld finished, I will put it up at: http://zoolib.sourceforge.net/doc/ I would vastly appreciate your comments on what I have written so far. Is it well written? I know it's probably not as organized as well as it could be. Is it accurate? Can you think of better ways to express some of what I say? Is the general direction appropriate? What I plan to do is write a chapter on each of the ZooLib demos, and discuss in detail each new concept that the demos provide. So far there are just two demos, ZHelloWorld and ButtonMessage. Once I get the chapter on ButtonMessage done, I will write more demos, with two or three new concepts introduced in each new demo.
