Hi,
I really want to set up a little prediction market web site and Zocalo seems great. I'm pretty computer savvy compared to most, but I have absolutely no clue how to begin here--I've never done anything beyond writing HTML code. My basic question is: what kind of hosting service and software would I need to make a site running Zocalo? I'm assuming that it's not possible to run it off a free account (e.g. geocities), because all that is provided is files to be read by web browsers, whereas this is something that needs to be running. But beyond that, I'm pretty in the dark about how it would work.
Any help, even just a pointer about where to get started, would be helpful.
Thanks in advance.
-John

Hello John, you need to rent a VPS, or virtual private server. You will need to ask your provide with Linux or Windows (in Linux things go flawlessly) and then load program. How exactly will depend on the firm, but usually you will need to have a software like putty to replicate the "terminal" in your computer.
Best
