#50 Exceeded Max Connections

Engine (43)

I am not able to have more than about 5 users on my ZNC at any one time. Users trying to join are greeted with the following:

13:39:58 * Connecting to lemmings.scnsrc.net (9998)
- Welcome to ZNC -
13:40:00 -*status- Hai Guys! HAVE FUN YOU DIRTY SCUM!
13:40:32 -irc.znc.in- *** Looking up your hostname...
13:40:34 -irc.znc.in- *** Checking Ident
13:40:34 -irc.znc.in- *** Found your hostname
13:40:34 -irc.znc.in- *** No Ident response
13:40:34 Closing Link: (Too many host connections (local))

I am running CentOS 5.2 on a VPS.

Are there any work arounds, or is it a bug? It's pissing me off :(

PS: I also tried changing Csocket.h from SOMAXCONNECTIONS to 40 but didn't make a difference.

Ok, after a bit of playing around, another user was able to connect through a different IP address, linked to the same server.

The IRC server rejects your connections. Discuss this with the netadmins. However, this is not uncommon, most nets have a limit on the maximum number of connections from any given IP address.

Closing as invalid, because this is not a ZNC issue. Sorry.
